General Overview:

The purpose of Studio Gallery is to create a web application that allows professional photographers to create galleries for their clients. These galleries would allow their clients to view the proofs from their photo shoot and allow them to place orders.

This is a general overview of the different actions that each user can perform within the application. It is neither exhaustive nor complete.

Photographer

  • The photographer would create a client within the app
  • He would then create a gallery for that client
  • Photos would then be uploaded for the gallery and the app would take care of creating thumbnail and preview images
  • Login accounts could then be created for the client

Client

  • The client would login to the site and be immediately taken to their gallery (or galleries, if more then one existed)
  • The gallery would show them thumbnail images for all the proofs from that photo shoot
  • At anytime, the client could get a larger preview image
  • The client can then select a photo, select the size(s) of prints they want from that photo, and the number of prints per size
  • This would then be added to their order
  • Once complete, the client can submit their order and it would be emailed to the photographer
  • The client also has the ability to create login accounts for friends and family so that others can place orders

Orders

  • Once an order is submitted, it would be emailed (or something would be emailed) to the photographer
  • It would also be kept on the app as a more permanent record
